Year 11 – Post Results Day:
The first stage of this review of marking process involves reviewing candidate’s exam scripts. After our candidates have received their exam results, the Exams Officer will ask them to sign a consent form for access to their exam scripts (a free service)
After this consent form has been completed, Faculty Leaders will view the exam scripts and identify any candidates that may potentially benefit from a review of marking
Where a Faculty Leader considers a review of marking is valid, the consent form for review of marking will be sent to the Exam Candidate
Candidates are made aware that their current grade may go up, down or remain the same as a result of this marking review
This consent form must be completed and returned to the Exams Officer before the deadline of third Thursday in September.
Parents/Carers may make requests for a review of marking before the exam board deadline by contacting the Exam Officer using info@wolsinghamschool.net
The Faculty Leader will then be informed and contact the parents/carers to further discuss their concerns.
All exam boards charge a fee to review any marking. This fee will be paid by Parents/Carers for all subjects (via a parent pay link that will be opened especially)
This fee payment must be received by the school before the deadline of the third Thursday in September.
Upon receipt of the signed consent form and associated fee before the deadline of the third Thursday in September, an application for the review of marking will be submitted by the Exams Officer
The results of all submitted applications will be communicated by the Exams Officer to the candidates involved, their parents/carers and the Faculty Leaders upon receipt from the Exam Board. (May take up to 4 weeks after an application is submitted)
Where the review results in a grade increase, the fees will be refunded by the exam board to the payee
If you would like to discuss any further details about this review of marking process, please email the Exams Officer using info@wolsinghamschool.net
