Library Ambassadors

Our Library Ambassador team is made up of students from years 7, 8, 9 and 10.
To become a library ambassador, students apply to Mrs. Carrick in the Library. They are then given an informal interview during which they are asked what they think the job involves and why they want to take part.

Being an ambassador links to our core values of getting involved and being kind.

Duties include shelving books, helping other students to choose books, keeping the library tidy and making recommendations based on their own reading habits and knowledge of books. The ambassadors work in teams and they do either a registration duty or a breaktime duty. The year 7 ambassadors are mentored by the older students, until they are able to work independently. The positions are voluntary and everyone is welcome to apply.

The Library Ambassador team also take part in fun events such as Scary stories for Halloween and Christmas treat sessions.
